Papergirl is coming to Leeds. Started in 2006 by Aisha Ronniger in Berlin , as an experiment to artistically connect with people in an urban environment, Papergirl has since spread around the world. The premise is simple; artists donate work to be distributed by a critical mass of cyclists to random members of the public at an unspecified time and date. From 8th-17th April Test Space will be hosting the first Papergirl Leeds exhibition.
The Opening night is Friday 8th April starting at 5pm til late and we would love, love, love you to be there.
Every single submission will be on show at the Papergirl Leeds Exhibition.
Come and eat, drink and be merry!!
(feel free to bring your own alcohol – it is a party after all!)
The Marvellous Tea Dance Company – selling the most delightful cakes and teas. I’m not just saying that either, I can vouch for their yumminess.
Sophie Wilson – Paper-craft Moustache installation – “Know before you Grow”
You’ll have to see it to believe it! Live construction of whimsical wonder!
Tim Ineaux – a live set from the re# artist himself.
“Tim ineaux is doggedly pioneering the art of YouTube jockeying, in the firm belief that cloud sourced content will be the future of entertainment, regardless of the odd stray pixel along the way.”
Think Girl Talk with pictures and you’re only half way to understanding how awesome it will be!
The Papergirl Leeds photo booth – capture the moment!
(all photos will be emailed out to participants so that you can cherish the event forever – we will also keep you updated with the Papergirl Leeds Newsletter)
